MEETING OFTHE PATRIARCH OF ALEXANDRIA WITH THE GREEK PRIME MINISTER

On 24th May 2018, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency the Prime Minister of Greece, Mr. Alexis Tsipras. The Prime Minister welcomed the Patriarch warmly to the Maximos Mansion, as well as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Giannis Amanatides.

The Alexandrian Primate briefed the Prime Minister on issues concerning the Patriarchate in Egypt, Libya and sub-Saharan Africa. He also mentioned his recent journey to Sudan, Smyrna, Ephesus, Mount Athos and Thessalonika, as well as his visit to Constantinople and his meeting there with His Most Holiness Bartholomaios, the Ecumenical Patriarch.
