With the blessing of the His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch
of Alexandria, the operation of the new official website of the Ancient
Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa is announced.
This online hub has been designed with the most modern principles that
govern cyberspace, in order to offer the visitor-user the possibility of easy and
direct navigation in a completely easy-to-use, friendly and aesthetic digital
environment.
The final result, the product of a profitable collaboration between the
Archsecretariat of the Holy Synod of the Ancient Patriarchate and its consistent
partner for many years, Mr. Dimitrios Chronis, Web-Designer, with the
participation of Mr. Ioannis Christodoulatos, Web-Developer, reflects the ability
of the Alexandrian Church to comprehend the pulse of contemporary reality
and to testify also through this manner its Orthodox witness to the Global
community.
In the individual units of the website, which constitutes the only official
website of the Patriarchal Throne of Alexandria, what is promoted is the
administrative structure, as well as the multifaceted pastoral, social and
humanitarian dimensions of the missionary sacrificial ministry of the Orthodox
Church on the continent of affliction, and hope, the continent of Africa.
Additionally, visitors have the potential to register as recipients of the
systematic updates about the life and activities of the Second Throne Church
