His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa is undertaking a missionary trip to the Cameroon , from 10th February 2009. During this trip, His Beatitude, accompanied by His Eminence Gregory, Metropolitan of the Cameroon, will meet with State Officials of the Cameroon, the Greek and Egyptian diplomatic representatives, members of the Hellenic Communities; he will visit the missionary centres in the far off areas of Northern Cameroon – Maroua, Gorua and Katrang – he will serve Divine Liturgies and will perform openings of Holy Churches, he will inaugurate Parish Centres and Institutions, and will hold synaxes for the clergy of the areas he will travel through.
Also, on 17th February 2009, Feast Day of the Great Martyr Theodore of Tyre, the day of the celebration of the name day of His Beatitude the Venerable Primate of the Alexandrenes, he will celebrate the Divine Liturgy and will concelebrate with the faithful Christians of the Cameroon, as he does every year, celebrating with our African brothers and sisters.
His Beatitude who, during the period 1997-2002 served as Metropolitan of the Cameroon , developing great and fruitful pastoral and missionary works, will end his visit to the local Church and the State of the Cameroon on 24th February 2009.
