On 8th March 2008, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa received in the Patriarchal See
– His Eminence Sergios of the Cape of Good Hope with whom he collaborated on the forthcoming anniversary celebrations for the 50th year of the establishment of the Holy Metropolis of the Cape of Good Hope, which His Beatitude will attend.
– His Grace Damaskinos Bishop of Ghana , who informed His Beatitude about the missionary effort undertaken in his jurisdiction and discussed with him issues regarding the Patriarchal visit which will take place soon.
– His Grace Athanasios Bishop of Cyrene , Patriarchal Exarch to the Church of Russia , with whom he discussed work issues.
On the 9th March 2008, His Beatitude officiated and preached at the Divine Liturgy as well as at the Vespers at the Holy Patriarchal Church of St Savvas the Sanctified in Alexandria .
