On Great and Holy Tuesday, 22nd April 2008, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa officiated at the Divine Liturgy of the Pre-Sanctified gifts at the Holy Patriarchal Church of St Savvas the Sanctified in Alexandria .
On the evening of the same day he officiated and preached the homily at the Bridegroom Service at the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos.
On Great and Holy Wednesday, 23rd April 2008, he officiated at the Divine Liturgy of the Pre-Sanctified gifts at the Holy Patriarchal Church of St Savvas the Sanctified in Alexandria .
He then received at the Patriarchal See the Honourable Mr Dimitri Dimitrov, the Consul General of Russia in Alexandria, accompanied by Mr Kiril Valiev, Director of the Russian Educational and Cultural Centre of Alexandria and the distinguished artist Mr Pavel Vladimir Theodorvic who many years ago had done the art works of the Holy Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.
Mr Theodorovic gave His Beatitude three paintings whil His Beatitude honoured the artist with the Cross of the Apostle and Evangelist Mark.
