His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa met on Monday 23 May 2022 with the Erudite Rector of the St Ignatius University Theological Academy, Dr Michael Hjalm at the Patriarchal Palace in Alexandria.
During this important meeting, His Beatitude was informed in detail about the educational programs as well as the possibility of cooperation between the Alexandrian Church and the above Theological Academy for the education of students from Africa, initially at postgraduate level in Stockholm and later at local level on the African Continent.
The meeting was attended on behalf of the Patriarchate by His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Naucratis and on behalf of the Academy by the Archimandrites Cyril Hovorun and Seraphim Smensgard.
His Beatitude expressed the deep gratitude of the Ancient Church of Alexandria to the Rector and the professors for the interest and concern shown for the education of tomorrow's officers of the Throne.
