His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa visited Her Excellency the Ambassador of Egypt in Romania Mrs Sana Natala.
During his visit to the Egyptian Ambassador in Bucharest His Beatitude expressed his love for the Land of the Nile, which always honours the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria as well as his deep confidence regarding the progress and prosperity of the country. On her own behalf the Ambassador defined the Patriarch’s visit as significant and a particular blessing.
Present at the meeting were the Chargé d’ Affaires of the Embassy, the Reverend Parish Priest of the Coptic Church in Bucharest and the religious leader of the Muslim Egyptian Community in the Romanian capital, while His Beatitude was accompanied by His Eminence George Metropolitan of Accra, His Grace Bishop Kyprianos the Chancellor of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Patriarchate and the Very Reverend Panteleimon Arathymos, Chief-Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria.
His Beatitude then attended together with Patriarch Daniel of Romania the National Competition of Ecclesiastical Music which took place in the function hall of the Patriarchal Mansion of Bucharest.
