Continuing his Peaceful visit to the ancient Church of Alexandria His Beatitude the Serbian Patriarch went to Cairo where, on 8th October 2012 he visited archaeological sites in the Egyptian capital and at noon on the same day attended an official lunch which was hosted in his honour by His Excellency the Ambassador of Serbia to the Land of the Nile Mr. Dragan Bisenik, in the presence also of His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa and Their Eminences Elder Metropolitan Petros of Aksum the Patriarchal Vicar General, Ioannis Metropolitan of Soumadia, Andreas Metropolitan of Remeziani, His Grace Nikodimos Bishop of Nitria Patriarchal Vicar of Cairo, clergy and other dignitaries.
On 9th October, following the end of the Divine Liturgy at the Hooly Church of St Nicholas in Cairo on the occasion of the blessed anniversary of the completion of eight years from the election of His Beatitude, the Serbian Patriarch and his entourage left for Belgrade, seen off at the International Airport in Cairo by His Beatitude Theodoros II.
