On 14th October, the seventh and final day of his journey to the Holy Metropolis of Mwanza, the Alexandrian Primate Theodoros II, had the joy of meeting with the clergy of the Holy Metropolis at a Clergy meeting where he had the opportunity of discussing with them the various problems that they face in their daily ministry, and also to encourage them with the inspired words of his paternal love, to be patient and to be proud to serve the Orthodox Church.
Together with Metropolitan Ieronymos of Mwanza and all the clergy of the Metropolis, he then went to the Orthodox Church UFUFUO (RESURRECTION) Hospital, which was built with the exhortation of the late Archbishop Christodoulos of Athens and the contribution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, the Centre for International Solidarity and Cooperation, as well as the sponsorship of the Oxford University Professor Mrs. Stamatia Dermitzoglou. This hospital is the jewel of the area, since it provides a high degree of medical care to the poor people of the region.
His Beatitude then immediately invited all the clergy to a common meal of love and then went on to visit the Holy Convent of St Macrina, which is under construction, donated by the female sisterhood of the Metropolis of Argolida, which is situated in a panoramic location above Lake Victoria and which is intended to place a sisterhood of monastics.
So, looking with hope to the future and with a heart full of gratitude to God for His manifest and hidden benefactions, the tour of is Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa to the Holy Metropolis of Mwanza, came to its conclusion.
